Scheduling
One of the many great things about lessons online is that scheduling is a little more wide open because we can get creative and fit lessons in on your lunch break or after work since there’s no commute and I can accommodate people outside of Seattle and in different time zones. I hope to get an online scheduler at some point but for now let’s have a quick chat about which lesson offering you are interested in and how our schedules line up.
For online lessons and in person lessons, I ask for 36 hours notice when cancelling a lesson to receive a credit for your payment which will be applied to a future rescheduled lesson. This ensures that my teaching schedule is as current as possible so that if you cancel with 36 hours notice, I can offer that time slot to someone else who may be on standby. If you have paid for your lesson and you do not give me 36 hours notice, I will enforce my policy of not issuing a credit. You may still reschedule, but you will pay again. For in person lessons, if you are sick PLEASE DO NOT COME TO YOUR LESSON! I will credit you towards your lessons next month even though you might cancel with under 36 hours notice. This ensures that I stay healthy and that I can earn the income that I need to pay my monthly bills. Thank you for reading and understanding this policy!
Cancellation Policy
Zoom meetings
I’ve had a great experience using Zoom. (FaceTime is also an option, but it’s a little more limited in features.) You do not need to have a Zoom account, just a web browser, camera and mic on your phone, tablet or computer. Once we set up a time to meet, I will send you a link for your Zoom meeting. You can let me know if you would like the lesson recorded and I will send you a link to your recording 24 hours after the lesson. Since we’ll be discussing your goals beforehand, I may send you some pdfs with information that we’ll be talking about in the lesson.
Payment / Rates
My preferred payment is Venmo or Zelle since there are no fees assessed on my end. If you already have PayPal and that is easier for you I accept that as well. I also prefer to be paid before your lesson to reserve your spot, but I understand if that feels weird. If you prefer to pay afterwards, I trust that you will honor the agreement for services rendered. My rates are $60 for a 45 minute lesson and $75 for an hour lesson. I will send you payment information in an email with your Zoom meeting link and any other pertanent details ahead of your lesson.
